Sheers & Shadings
Sheers and shadings solve the problem most rooms actually have: you want the daylight and the view, just not the glare. Soft fabric vanes float inside a sheer, so you tilt them instead of choosing between open and closed.
This is the line Hunter Douglas is best known for. Silhouette® suspends S-shaped vanes between two layers of sheer, Pirouette® puts soft folded vanes on a single sheer backing, and Luminette® turns the same idea vertical for sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling glass.
Like everything we sell, they're measured by the design consultant who places the order and installed by our own team. And Hunter Douglas is currently including PowerView® automation free on Silhouette® and Pirouette®. Ask your design consultant to price it both ways.

Common questions
How is this different from a regular shade?
A regular shade is either up or down. A shading has fabric vanes suspended in a sheer, so you tilt them the way you would blinds: view and daylight with the vanes open, privacy with them closed, and softer light either way.
How do I choose between Silhouette® and Pirouette®?
Silhouette® reads lighter and more translucent; Pirouette® has more fabric presence and texture in the room. It's a taste call, and it's easier made in person. The design consultant can show you both at your window, in your light, which usually settles it.
What about our sliding glass door?
That's Luminette®: vertical sheer panels that rotate like drapery and stack back off the glass. It's made for sliders and wide openings, and it pairs naturally with Silhouette® on the windows nearby.
